About Us
Since 2009, Dualcom has grown from a specialist in solar and lighting for RV and marine into a design–build systems integrator for rugged, remote and public-space deployments across New Zealand.
We combine off-grid power, edge computing, and connected infrastructure to deliver reliable, low-maintenance solutions in hard places—coastlines, alpine carparks, trailheads, and other high-visitor environments.
What we do
- Off-grid power & storage – Solar design, battery systems (AGM & LiFePO₄), DC distribution, protection, and monitoring for 12/24/48 V systems.
- Custom fabrication – Engineered frames, gear plates, service walls and enclosures; corrosion protection; install-ready assemblies.
- Electrical & controls – Switchgear layout, wiring standards, signaling, lighting (public & service areas), safety interlocks.
- Install, test, commission – Full site works with checklists, QA, and practical completion criteria.
- Operate & support – Remote monitoring, alerts, and service tailored to seasonal and high-load sites.
How we work
- One team from concept to field – Design, procure, fabricate, install, commission, and support—end-to-end.
- Built for NZ conditions – Weather, corrosion, and access constraints are first-class inputs, not afterthoughts.
- Safety & compliance – Practical, auditable processes for electrical, mechanical and site H&S.
- Transparent delivery – Structured project planning, staged milestones, and clear acceptance testing.
Where our tech is used
Public carparks and visitor facilities, council and transport infrastructure, conservation sites, marinas and mobile/off-grid installations.
Our roots
We still supply proven solar and lighting hardware to RV and marine customers nationwide—but today that product capability sits inside complete solutions that power, connect and automate real-world sites.
