Constant Voltage (CV) is designed to maintain a fixed voltage level during operation regardless of "current" conditions. Similar to how a battery or generator works. LED Strip Light , MR16 and G4 Lamps are examples of a Constant Voltage load. If your lamp has a fixed voltage input e.g. 12V then it is likely to be compatible with a CV driver.
Constant Current (CC) is an operation mode that maintains a fixed current flow through an LED array, the supply voltage will change depending on operating conditions. A domestic style LED Down Light, Commercial LED High Bay and Panel Lights are common examples that use CC drivers.
Most down lights are Constant Current (CC), Check the driver you are replacing specs with our model. The Vout (SEC Output) and the Iout (Current Output) need to be the same. Example, Vout: 25-42V, Iout: 300mA is our 12W Driver Spec
