The BMPRO BatteryCharge4 is a compact 6V & 12V 4A smart battery charger designed to safely charge and maintain a wide range of battery types. Featuring an intelligent 8-stage charging algorithm, it automatically delivers the optimum charging profile to maximise battery performance and extend service life. Compatible with LiFePO₄ Lithium, AGM, Gel, Calcium, and Flooded Lead Acid batteries, it's the perfect charger for motorcycles, cars, caravans, boats, ride-on mowers, and seasonal vehicles.

With automatic 0.9A, 3A and 4A charging currents, the BatteryCharge4 is ideal for battery capacities from 12Ah to 120Ah, while also supporting 6V batteries for added versatility. An easy-to-read LCD display provides clear charging status information, and built-in protection against reverse polarity, overload, overheating, and short circuits ensures safe operation every time.

Its IP65-rated dust and water-resistant housing makes it suitable for workshop, garage, and mobile use, while the included battery clamps and fused ring terminal leads provide convenient connection options.

Please note that the BatteryCharge4 is not intended as a battery maintainer— once the charging cycle is complete, the charger switches off.

What is the minimum voltage the BatteryCharge4 will commence charging a battery?

Minimum start voltage for the BC4 is above 2V. Below this voltage it is unlikely that the charger will detect a battery, and therefore will not commence the charging routine.

Can the 4A and 7.5A chargers be permanently connected to the battery?

Although it will not do any harm to the battery if permanently connected, the 4A & 7.5A charger is only designed to perform a single charge once connected to the battery. It does not auto maintain if the voltage of the battery starts to drop, such as when a load is applied after the charge is completed.
