The Dualcom Street Light Camera Backup Power System is a professionally engineered battery power solution designed to provide continuous 12V power for CCTV cameras, communications equipment and remote monitoring systems installed on street light poles and other switched mains infrastructure.

This unit is also equipped with a DDR-120A-48V DCDC converter for powering 48V routers using POE cameras.

Designed for applications where 230V AC mains power is only available for part of the day. During daylight hours, when the street light circuit is switched off, the connected equipment operates from the system's integrated 100Ah lithium battery. When the street lighting circuit switches on at night, the Victron Blue Smart 10A AC Battery Charger automatically recharges the battery, preparing the system for operation the following day.

This provides a simple and effective solution for installing 24-hour CCTV and monitoring equipment on infrastructure where mains power is only available overnight, without requiring a permanent 230V supply.

Built into a robust IP66 powder-coated steel enclosure, each system is fully assembled, pre-wired, tested and configured in-house by Dualcom before dispatch. The integrated lithium battery provides excellent cycle life and usable capacity, while the Victron Blue Smart charger provides intelligent multi-stage charging to maintain battery performance and longevity.

How It Works

Daytime:
Street light OFF → Camera and equipment operate from the 100Ah lithium battery.

Night-time:
Street light ON → 230V AC becomes available → Victron 10A charger powers up and recharges the battery ready for the next day's operation.

This automatic daily charge/discharge cycle requires no operator intervention and provides reliable continuous power for equipment that needs to operate 24 hours a day.
