NO. For a T8 LED tube to work with standard wiring, the tube must have the internal driver one end and a direct short the other. This allows Line or Neutral at one end to flow to the other end of the tube via the fuse. This also means the tube can be installed eitherway without causing a fault. The issue with wiring to one end only, is that if/when later on the tube is replaced - someone installing the wrong way round, it would cause a short circuit, thus being very dangerous. SEE DIAGRAM IMAGE OR DOWNLOAD TAB.
Yes. Fixtures with a Magnetic Ballast (Visible / Removable "Starter"). We provide an Replacement "Starter" (which is actually a fuse) which makes the existing Magnetic Ballast compatible with our LED Tubes. Easy upgrade.
No. If the fixture has an Electronic Ballast, you must bypass the Ballast and follow the wiring diagram in our Downloads tab.
