SeaBlaze Typhoon sets a new standard for performance, reliability, and value in through-hull underwater lighting. Typhoon delivers more than 10,000 measured lumens (white), with a modular quick-change design for easy in-water service and upgrades. Our innovative internal relay simplifies wiring and significantly reduces installation costs and complexity. The solid naval bronze housing requires a 3” mounting hole for the transom mount design. Dazzling full-color RGBW spectrum output which does not require external controllers and can be operated using any standard on/off switch. There is an Optional Flush Mount bezel design available for mounting along sides of boats - contact us for more information / pre-orders for that model.

Yes, for LUMITEC bronze underwater lights you may paint the housing with a bronze compatible Anti-Fouling paint, for LUMITEC Anodized Aluminum housing use a aluminum compatible Anti-Fouling paint or suitable prop-speed product.
TTP, or Timed Toggle Protocol, is a beautifully simple solution to an otherwise vexing problem: How to provide sophisticated features like dimming and color change with no external control modules, using any standard off-the-shelf switch. Frequently emulated to the point of being almost an industry standard, Lumitec’s innovative TTP control uses brief “off/on” toggles of the light’s power switch to select an intensity level or cycle through output colors.
Multi-color or multi-output lights may incorporate Lumitec’s TTP technology. To change the output color or output mode of a light, briefly toggle the light OFF then immediately back ON. The light will cycle to the alternate or next output color Turn Switch to “On” position and wait for four seconds until the light ramps up to full intensity. Toggle switch “Off/On” quickly to change modes. Once for each mode.
Power Line Instruction (PLI) is an innovative, proprietary communication protocol built-in to most Lumitec products, that sends control/configuration instructions to Lumitec luminaires over the standard power wires. Learn more front our Tech Talk page.
The purpose of the orange wire is to signal the internal relay from a low current switch to operate a full load of the SeaBlazeX2. To use the 3-wire system, simply connect the red and black 10-30VDC lines to an appropriately fused power buss with constant power and the Orange wire to a switched +10-30VDC buss referenced to the same ground as the power lines. This saves pulling heavier cable over distances up to the control board switch. Alternatively you can tie the orange wire to the red wire to bypass this feature and use a larger switch.
